Beginning of Year Information:
We are so excited to start the 25-26 school year. Here are a couple of important reminders as we start things off:
Arrival & Dismissal:
- Arrival begins at 8:20am. Students may not be dropped off until then.
- The tardy bell is 8:35am. Any students arriving after that time will be marked tardy.
- Please drop students off in the car line through our parking lot, not the bus loop.
- Dismissal begins at 3:20pm.
- Please communicate with your child’s teacher about their dismissal plan.
- All students picked up by car must have a car tag. Please stop by the front office between 9:30am-2pm in order to pick up a car tag if you were not able to at Back to School Open House. Students without a car tag will not be dismissed via the car lane.
- We will not change a child’s dismissal plan unless we hear from a parent or guardian. Please call the school or contact your child’s teacher if their dismissal plan is changing before 2:30pm.
- If you are planning for your child to be picked up early, please arrive before 3:10pm. No students will be dismissed early after that time.
- At the start of the school year, arrival and dismissal will take longer than usual. Please be patient as we all learn new routines and procedures to keep all students and families safe.
- Kindergarten will be on a staggered start schedule for 8/19-8/21. All kindergarten students will attend school one of these days from 9:00am-2:00pm. Transportation is not provided.

Breakfast & Lunch
- Breakfast is free for all students.

Attendance
- Please send excuses for your child’s absence to school within in three days of an absence. You may send in a paper copy or email our secretary, Mrs. Bohn at [email protected] .
- If your child is sick and sees a doctor, please ask for an excuse and turn it in to our secretary so we can medically excuse their absence.
- If you are planning a vacation or other school absence, please be sure to request a prearranged absence form. These should be turned into he office for approval before your child’s absence.
Important Dates
- 8/14 - Back to School Open House - 3-6pm
- 8/19 - First Day of School - Grades 1-5
- 8/19-8/21 - Kindergarten Staggered Start - 9-2pm
All Kindergarten students will attend school one of these days. They will receive their teacher placement on Friday, 8/22.
- 8/22 - No School for Mooreland Students
- 8/25 - First Day for ALL Kindergarten students with normal hours

If you have not registered your new Kindergarten student, please do this as soon as possible. It is important that we have an accurate number of students for planning purposes. The link for our website to register is below:
