The Carlisle Area School District held the annual Elementary District Spelling Bee on March 29th. Four students from each of the district's seven elementary schools were selected to represent their school at the bee. Of the twenty-eight students who participated Charlie Goetz from Letort Elementary School was the Spelling Bee Runner-up, and Ella Shatz from Mooreland Elementary School was the Carlisle Area School District 2017 Spelling Bee Champion.
